The Swanley New Barn Railway hosted a huge gala celebration and I've never seen so many trains in one place!

Last weekend the Swanley New Barn Railway hosted their 40th Anniversary Gala and for a small railway it was a huge event. There was an incredible selection of locos in steam, both from the home fleet and visiting from across the UK with trains arriving and leaving the main station practically every 30 seconds!

If you've never been to Swanley New Barn Railway it's well worth a visit as the railway takes a nice trip around a large section of the park. Even on a regular service day there are usually two or three trains in operation so you're always in for a good show.
