When Bachmann first released their Class 121 DMU "Bubblecar" a few years ago, it was a superb model which very much upped the competition. Featuring built in speakers, working headcode lights, destination blinds, saloon lighting and a small mechanism so as not to intrude into the model, it was one of the best options on the market alongside Bachmann's Class 117.

A few years on though, how does it stack up against the current competition? With the hobby ever more obsessed about the latest releases and new models, does a loco like the Bachmann Class 121 still hold its own or have things moved too quickly?
