I decided to investigate how much money we actually spend on powering our model railways, given the recent increases in energy bills here in the UK! Please note, at the time of this video being filmed, the new electricity price was advised to be up to 52p/KWH, but now seems to have been capped to 34p, so please see the tables below to see how both prices compare.

The data and cost of running each appliance is available here. These tables include the worst-case-scenario electricity price of 52p/KWH and also the new figure of 34p/KWH: docs.google.com/document/d/1fggZ-x88fHiLanSpzECBRLtq87ZF2YmwOn4VEBfqqJo/edit?usp=sharing
