PART IV of Dave's giant 'O' gauge model railway.

In this episode, Mike talks to Dave about how the layout outgrew its original home and developed into the giant 'O' gauge layout we see today, plus Dave's tips on building your own layout.

This is the last part of Dave Lowery's Giant Model Railway series. A new series featuring Chris Leigh's home layout is coming soon - so keep checking the Model Rail YouTube channel or Facebook page: www.facebook.com/modelrail/

Mike Harris visits a giant model railway layout built by professional model maker and Model Rail magazine launch editor, Dave Lowery. Dave's layout is 30ft by 30ft and resides within a purpose-built annex in his garden. But there's so much more to Dave's 'O' gauge layout than model trains. Each locomotive is DCC sound fitted, most of the steam locomotives eject live steam, and the whole layout is split into five different scenes. Not to mention, Dave's garden backs onto the real East Coast Main Line! In this episode, Mike takes a first look at Dave's model railway, meets the man himself and learns about DCC (Digital Command Control). In Part II, Dave shows off his authentic Class 56 control desk, talks about life as a professional model maker and introduces Mike to the real trains in his garden - the East Coast Main Line. So, there's much, much more to come! If you like this Model Rail production, check out Model Rail magazine via the following websites:
