If you want to make easy vegetation, such as ferns, for your diorama or layout and you're modelling in a larger scale then this is the technique for you - the Brother Scanncut machine.

It's a little daunting at first but actually incredibly easy to get great results!

Materials

Brother Scanncut Machine (http://www.brother-usa.com/scanncut/)
Brother Scanncut Canvas – a free web app (scanncutcanvas.brother.com/)
Paper – I have tried:
160 gsm pastel paper (I used Daler Rowney but there are other brands) – it has bumps and is a bit thick (blade depth is 5)
Ingres pastel paper (I used Daler Rowney but there are other brands) – again it has bumps but it is nice and thin (blade depth is 3)
Copy paper (80 gsm) (blade depth is 5 when used with sticky back plastic)
Sticky back plastic
