How to Paint Tarmac using Tamiya Texture Paints - Pavement Effect

Tamiya make a series of texture paints such as grass, earth and snow and they also have a couple of pavement effect paints. The light gray one is slightly rougher in texture and more representative of concrete. The darker paint is a new tarmac effect. It's s bit dark for me but is easy to paint after application.

Tamiya recommend using a spatula but I struggle to get a smooth flat surface over larger areas so prefer to dilute the paint and paint it on and let it self level.

Materials

Smooth flat base such as foam core or a non-absorbent surface. Used a shiny paper glued down with a pritt/glue stick.
