50033 left English Electric's Vulcan Foundry on July 19, 1968 and entered service as D433. Renumbering under TOPS came on December 31, 1973 and the locomotive was named Glorious on June 26, 1978.Glorious worked its last train in March 1994 and was withdrawn the same month, moving to the NRM as part of the National Collection. Rising costs led to the NRM disposing of the locomotive and its future is now uncertain.
