Bachmann's all-new Class 121 single-car DMU touched down in the Hornby Magazine office for review during March. This eagerly-awaited new 'OO' gauge model will be released in BR green, BR blue and grey and Network SouthEast colours initially. Our review sample modelled a Cornish example in 1980s BR blue and grey as W55025.

The model features directional lighting, sprung buffers, a full set of bufferbeam details in the accessory pack, a flexible speedometer cable, single bogie drive with a low profile mechanism, interior lighting, a three-pole motor and a flywheel. There is also a factory fitted speaker in the underframe together with a PLUX22 decoder socket mounted in the guards compartment.

Watch our sample in action on our test track here and read the full review in HM155 - on sale now!
