The Great Western Railway (GWR) was long synonymous with ‘Pannier’ tanks. Charles Collett’s ‘57XX’ and ‘8750’ classes are perhaps the most notable designs, having long careers across the GWR and BR’s Western Region. Accurascale announced plans to produce a newly tooled ‘OO’ gauge model of the ‘57XX’, ‘8750’ and ‘67XX’ in late 2023, and the completed models are now here.
