On the 24th and 25th of March 2012, British Railway Modelling magazine held the largest of its three annual model railway exhibitions - the London Festival of Railway Modelling. Check out www.model-railways-live.co.uk for more information on BRM and its events. Sponsored by Bachmann Branchline, Hornby, and Graham Farish and staged in the impressive Alexandra Palace (the exhibition's venue for over a decade) the exhibition saw over 40p quality model railways, with layouts of all gauges.
Some of the layouts included: Amberdale, Burntisland, Cliffton, Dinas, Dudley Heath, Empingham, Hemyock, Invicta Track, Leighton Buzzard, loch tat, Millwall Goods and Arnold Lane, the model railway club, Purgatory Peak, Rivendell, The Long Line, Westcliff, Whatlington, and Yeoton Wharf. Over 100 traders were in attendance, and the BRM live theatre hosted presentations on signals, scenery, lighting and more. Don't miss it next year!
