Commemorate the largest naval, air and land operation in history with our D Day series of 1:72 scale model aircraft, exclusive to Bachmann Europe.
June 6th 1944 marked the beginning of Operation Overlord and the Battle of Normandy, with a colossal airborne offensive providing air support for the naval invasion force. Black and white recognition stripes hastily painted on allied aircraft minimised the risk of ‘friendly fire’ incidents. Our highly detailed D Day series models all feature this distinctive marking.
The models are fully assembled and painted with display stands included in the box. The collection includes five models -
SPITFIRE MK V AB910 - Item No. PKEA33303
D-Day invasion stripes worn by Spitfire Mk V AB910 from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
