DETAILS Now you can add automatic signalling to your layout in seconds with new 4 Aspect Sensor Signals from Train Tech.

HOW IT WORKS A sensor is built into every signal so there is no wiring or extra circuit boards etc. Just clip or wire the signal into your track for fully automatic 2, 4, or 3 Aspect Signalling which works just like the real railway. Best of all they work on both analogue DC as well as digital DCC and are fully Layout Link compatible, so easy to link Mimic lights and switches on a Mimic panel for control, signal display and train position indication with just a single wire.

Installation is very quick and simple as everything is built into the signal. As well as the signals you will also get the detailing extras including Hand Rails, Ladders, Phone Boxes, and other vital signal components.

Train Tech Sensor Signal Starter Pack 4‑Aspect (Part No. TTSSP1) provides a quick way to add automatic signalling to a model railway. The kit contains four 4‑aspect sensor signals (TTSS5), one Mimic switch (TTMS1), 5 m of single‑core wire and a set of instructions.

Each signal incorporates an internal sensor, eliminating the need for separate wiring or circuit boards. When clipped or wired to the track, the signals operate automatically in 2, 3 or 4‑aspect modes, detecting train occupancy and changing aspect until the train has passed. The system works with both analogue DC (12–16 V) and digital DCC, and it is compatible with Layout Link, allowing a single wire to link signals, Mimic lights and switches for occupancy indication on a control panel.

Installation is straightforward as all electronics are housed within the signal bases. The kit also supplies detailing accessories such as hand rails, ladders, phone boxes and other components to enhance realism. Automatic operation can be overridden by a Mimic switch or a DCC command, and DCC‑controlled points may be set to light automatically when given the same address.
