Manufacturer description

Each easy fit lighting strip is completely self contained with a built-in battery and five efficient LED lamps which realistically light the shortest Gresley to the latest Pendolinos! There is no need for any switch because the strip incorporates a small sensor which detects when the train moves and turns on the lights automatically. The lights stay on whilst the train is in motion, then after it stops keeps the lights on for a few minutes before turning them off so that temporary stops at stations or signals leaves the coach lit.

Train Tech Automatic Coach Lighting Warm White Faulty Flickering Tube (Manufacturer Part Number TTCL32) is a self‑contained lighting strip designed for model railway coaches. Each strip incorporates a small battery, five LED lamps and an internal motion sensor that activates the lights when the train moves and switches them off after four minutes of inactivity.

The unit fits most OO and HO coaches; it measures 220 mm by 8 mm (16 mm at the battery holder) and can be cut to size. It requires no wiring and can be attached with Blu‑tack or other adhesive fixers. The lighting uses a standard 20 mm diameter CR2032 coin cell, which typically lasts several months in regular use and years when the train is not running.

The product offers both traditional warm‑white and modern cool‑white illumination and can be combined with optional tail‑light, spark‑arc, door‑light or door‑tone effects. It works with both conventional DC and DCC control systems, and a smaller version is available for N‑gauge models. The design aims to provide a steady, flicker‑free light output.
