Revolution Trains offers a pack of four RioTintoAlcan‑liveried PCA powder tank locomotives, supplied without ladders. The model is designated RT‑PCA20‑403H and represents the rebuilding of the railways era.
The highly detailed OO gauge models are built to 1:76.2 scale on 16.5 mm track. Each tank features NEM coupling pockets, RP25 wheel sets that can be readily converted to EM or P4 (26 mm pinpoints on 2 mm axles), and a minimum curve radius of 438 mm (second radius). Optional ladders are fitted to the Alcan and de‑branded Alcan liveries, while an optional discharge‑chute plate is also available. Numerous plastic and photo‑etched components are supplied separately for a high level of accuracy.
The prototype units were constructed by Powell Duffryn in 1988, numbering 43 PC020A powder tanks used for alumina traffic between North Blyth and Fort William on the West Highland line. The tanks remain in service today. Five livery versions are covered: Original Alcan (1988–mid‑2000s), de‑branded/faded Alcan (mid‑2000s onward), RioTintoAlcan (2008–2016), Lochaber Power/Liberty (from 2016), and Alvance (from 2020).
Fourteen distinct packs are available, each containing four uniquely numbered tanks, providing a range of liveries and numbering options for collectors.
