OO gauge/4mm scale model of the VTG Ecofret FWA twin and triple container sets in use with DB Cargo, Freightliner and GBRf. VTG developed the new and innovative FWA “Ecofret” in twin and triple format as wagons which are shorter than traditional container flats, meaning that in a market dominated by 40’ containers they can carry a greater load per train length.

The Ecofrets were introduced from 2011 and can be seen in DB red (triple set), VTG green used by Freightliner (twin sets), GBRf blue and VTG dark blue liveries (triple sets). We are offering 4 number variations of the VTG green twin sets and the GBRf blue triple sets so that modellers can assemble realistic rakes. In addition we are offering one of the two DB red triple sets (we will offer the second set if there is sufficient demand).

The models will feature a solid metal spine for weight with moulded deck and spigot details.

The twin car sets are 375mm and the triple sets are 550mm (both measurements over buffers).

Revolution Trains Ecofret FWA Container Flat Triple Set – GBR blue (no Ecofret branding) is an OO gauge (4 mm scale) model of the VTG Ecofret FWA twin and triple container wagons currently in use. The product carries the manufacturer part number OO‑FWA‑4111D and represents the current era.

VTG developed the Ecofret FWA wagons as shorter container flats that can carry a greater load per train length in a market dominated by 40‑foot containers. The model is available in the blue livery used by GBRf for triple sets; similar wagons appear in DB red (triple), VTG green (twin, used by Freightliner) and VTG dark blue (triple) liveries.

Four variations of the VTG green twin sets and the GBRf blue triple sets are supplied to enable realistic rakes, with one DB red triple set offered initially and a second to be produced if demand justifies it.

The model features a solid metal spine for added weight, a moulded deck and detailed spigot fittings. The twin‑car set measures 375 mm over the buffers, while the triple‑car set measures 550 mm over the buffers.
