Manufacturer description

VTG silver livery, JNA-T, number 8170 5500 610-7. 11 ribs and no door

The JNA/MMA EALNOS bogie box wagon was introduced in 2016 and more than 900 are now in service across a wide variety of locations and freight operators all across the network.

The prototype has two main types – one with 9 bodyside ribs, one with 11. Within this, some have access doors between the ribs at the right-hand end and some do not, while some have parking brake wheels on the lower edge of the body, while some have it on the bogie at one end. We also offer versions with battery powered tail lamps (no batteries are included) – the tail lamp fitted versions are either version L or version X.

Our model of the JNA/MMA EALNOS is tooled for all the variations of EALNOS (9 or 11 ribs, side doors or no side doors).

Revolution Trains JNA‑T box wagon in VTG silver livery, numbered 8170 5500 610‑7. The model carries the manufacturer part number OO‑EAL‑110B and represents the current era.

The kit reproduces the 11‑rib version of the JNA‑T box wagon and omits side doors. It is supplied in the VTG silver corporate colour scheme and bears the correct fleet number. The model is a faithful replica of the real‑world vehicle, which is employed by VTG on freight services.

The real JNA/MMA EALNOS bogie box wagon was introduced in 2016 and more than 900 units are now in operation across a wide variety of locations and freight operators on the network. Prototypes were built in two main configurations – one with nine bodyside ribs and one with eleven ribs – and further variations include the presence or absence of access doors at the right‑hand end, and differing positions for the parking‑brake wheel (either on the lower edge of the body or on a bogie).

The Revolution Trains model is tooled to cover all recognised variations of the EALNOS design, including both rib counts and the optional side doors. Versions with battery‑powered tail lamps are available (tail‑lamp fitted versions are designated L or X), although no batteries are supplied.
