Rapido LNER Dynamometer Car 1938 is a limited‑edition model produced as part of the National Railway Museum (Locomotion Models) range. The model bears the manufacturer part number R453868.
The dynamometer car represents the 1938 version used by the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) during the era of the Big Four railway companies – LNER, LMS, GWR and SR. It is designed to accompany Rapido locomotives in a complementary livery and scale.
The model is cast in high‑detail resin with painted components and includes fine fittings such as the headlamp, buffers and a detachable dynamometer apparatus. It is intended for display or use on model railway layouts in a scale appropriate to Rapido stock.
As a limited edition, the car was released for collectors and railway enthusiasts, with production numbers controlled by the National Railway Museum. The product is packaged in a sealed box featuring artwork from the 1930s railway period.
