The Rapido Stirling Single No.1 model is a OO gauge representation of a locomotive from the Big Four era. It is operated by the Great Northern and is part of the Rapido Stirling Single collection.
The model is based on the Stirling Single, a locomotive with a small "Sturrock" tender that was in use from 1909 to 2012. The mechanism is designed for smooth running and is suitable for operation on curves with a radius of 438mm or greater. The model features a precision livery application, which accurately represents the locomotive's appearance.
Additional features include a working firebox flicker, a 21-pin DCC decoder socket, and a factory-fitted speaker. The model also includes accurate sounds, which have been obtained from archival footage, and has been laser 3D scanned for accuracy.
