The Rapido Dia E140 B Set is a model of GWR coaches in Shirtbutton livery, part of the Rapido GWR B Set collection. This OO gauge model is designed to represent the Big Four era, which spanned the period between the end of the Great Western Railway's independence in 1948 and the nationalisation of the railways in 1948.
The model is based on diagram E140 B-Set coaches, with two vehicles, numbered 6977 and 6978, specifically modelled as 'Bodmin Branch No.2'. The model has been carefully scaled from original drawings to ensure accuracy. The body exterior is highly detailed, with a complete underbody detailing featuring many separate parts.
The interior of the coaches is also accurately modelled, including a guards compartment. The model features fully working, flicker-free internal lighting. The coaches are designed to be coupled together using a prototypical bar coupling, and are fitted with NEM coupler pockets. The model is produced in 1:76 scale, suitable for OO gauge railways.
