The Rapido LNER Y7 locomotive model, No.1800, is available in a wartime black livery of the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER). This model represents the Big Four era, which spanned from the 1923 grouping of the UK's railways to the 1948 nationalisation of the industry.

The model features a number of authentic details, including a bell-shaped whistle, tapered buffer guides with round heads, and a Ramsbottom safety valve casing. The locomotive is constructed from a combination of die-cast metal and injection moulded plastic, with a high quality motor and mechanism.

The model includes a number of separately fitted parts, such as coupling chains and shunting poles, which the user can choose to fit themselves. It also features a factory-fitted speaker for DCC sound, and a Next18 decoder socket for easy digital control. Additionally, the model has sprung buffers for a more realistic operation.
