Rapido “New Look” Guy Arab bus model BCT #2901 (JOJ 901) is a 1/76 scale replica of a Birmingham City Transport vehicle used on the 62 Rednal route. The model is built to OO gauge standards and features a pristine Birmingham City Transport livery.
The kit includes injection‑moulded plastic and metal components, with body weld lines, extrusions and rivets reproduced accurately. The interior is fully detailed in colour, with etched‑metal grab poles, a clear aisle, flush glazing and illuminated destination blinds. Steerable front wheels fitted with rubber tyres and working headlamps and interior lighting are supplied.
The model requires a 12 V 500 mA DC power supply, which is not provided. All dimensions and proportions are based on laser scans of the real bus, ensuring a high level of fidelity.
