Manufacturer description

The Robert Addison Company in Torphins, by Banchory in Scotland, was originally set up to service the nearby Craigmyle cornmill, moving products to and from the mill. Although Robert Addison subsequently sold out to another family firm - Arbuthnotts - the business still centred on the movement of agricultural products, at the same time retaining the original Robert Addison livery of bright green and red, with the Scottish flags on the sides of the trailers and on the wind deflector above the cab. Today, the fleet comprises around 15 trucks, mostly Scania, operating throughout the UK. The fleet of 22 trailers carries a wider variety of loads now, including products for the building industry. The Scottish magazine Transport News voted the company Scottish Fleet of the Year in 2010.
