Manufacturer description

In 1917 the American, Marshall B Lloyd, patented a new system for the manufacture of wicker furniture. He then applied it to the production of high quality, highly innovative mass-market furniture. Called Lloyd Loom it was made from twisted woven fibre - a form of wicker. Between 1920 and 1940, Lusty's in Great Britain and Lloyd's in America produced more than 1000 different designs - from large settees to small wastepaper baskets - that furnished homes, hotels, ocean liners and even airships.
