Oxford Diecast VAT 69 is a 1:76 scale die‑cast model produced by Oxford Diecast. The model carries the manufacturer part number RM081. It is presented in the British Rail Blue livery that was used prior to the introduction of the TOPS system.
The model represents the period when British Rail operated in the pre‑TOPS era, featuring the distinctive deep blue colour scheme associated with that time. It is intended for collectors of railway‑related memorabilia and die‑cast enthusiasts.
VAT 69 is a blended whisky first created in 1882 by William Sanderson, who prepared a hundred vattings and selected the blend that he and his friends preferred. The Oxford Diecast model captures this historic branding in miniature form.
