Oxford GER 10‑ton Cattle Van – LNER (post 1936) – Model 626637
Manufacturer part number: OR76GEC003C
The model depicts a Great Eastern Railway cattle van that was built in a batch of approximately 800 units between 1900 and 1909. These vans were used to transport livestock to and from the agricultural counties of East Anglia. Photographic evidence shows that some of the wagons also operated as far north as Scotland and as far south‑west as the west of England.
The van represents the period of the Big Four railway companies (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR) and is presented in the post‑1936 LNER livery. It is intended for collectors interested in early twentieth‑century British railway rolling stock.
