Oxford GER 10T Cattle Van – LNER (pre 1936) 626108 is a scale model of a Great Eastern Railway livestock van produced between 1900 and 1909. The model carries the manufacturer part number OR76GEC002 and represents the era of the British “Big Four” railway companies: LNER, LMS, GWR and SR.
Around 800 of the original 10‑ton vans were built by the Great Eastern Railway to transport cattle and other livestock to and from farms in East Anglia. Photographic evidence shows that some of these vans were also seen in northern Scotland and the south‑west of England.
The model is intended for collectors interested in early twentieth‑century British railway rolling stock and reflects the design and livery used by the LNER before the 1936 re‑organisation of its fleet.
