800 of these vans were produced by the Great eastern Railway between 1900 and 1909 and were used to convey livestock to and from East Anglia, although some of the wagons where photographed as far away as northern Scotland and south west England.

Around 800 of these vans were built by the Great Eastern Railway between 01/01/1900 and 31/12/1909. They were primarily used to convey cattle to and from East Anglia, although photographic evidence shows some were operating as far north as Scotland and as far south‑west as England.
