David Murray started out in business on his own in 1987 when he purchased his first vehicle to undertake the haulage of agricultural produce for a local Carnoustie Company. The trucks are instantly recognisable with their white, burgundy and Ayres red paintwork being adorned with a Murray Clan tartan band and bearing the Clan motto "Aye Ready" as well as symbols of their Scottish origins, pipers, dancers and highland warriors.
