Manufacturer description

DAF04REC DAF105 (SSC) Boniface Recovery Truck - Highway Recovery. This version of the Boniface Recovery Truck, with its DAF 105 Super Space Cab, is a 1:76 scale authentic replica of the distinctive bright red and yellow liveried truck, as used by Highway Recovery Limited currently.

The company, established for over forty years, has a 30 strong fleet of recovery trucks specifically geared to the task in hand - heavy and light recovery and rescue - whether a roadside breakdown or a serious road traffic accident. Centred in Yorkshire, the company is ideally situated for access to the busy motorway network incorporating the M62, M1, M18 and the A1. Their main clients include the AA, GreenFlag, Europ Assistance, amongst others, as well as the West Yorkshire Police and the Highways Agency.

The Heavy Recovery vehicles, upon which our Oxford replica is based, are mounted on purpose built chassis with train weights in excess of 85 tons with high capacity rear axles and suspension. The 60 tonne rotating crane units, along with damage free wheel grids, are capable of lifting heavy vehicles by their wheels.
