The Ford Zephyr 6 is now an established model in the Oxford Automobile programme of 1960s cars and our latest addition to the line-up shows the four door saloon decorated with a mid grey body and brown red interior seating. In real life, the Zephyr 6 Mk III was produced by Ford at their Dagenham plant between 1962 and 1966, so our model, registered FVJ 259D, dates from the last year of manufacture in 1966.
Sporting the distinctive new full-width radiator grille which incorporates the chrome headlights, additional trim is finished in silver, including the specially shaped Zephyr wheel hubs. Although the Zephyr 6 was only manufactured as a 4-door saloon, external conversions saw a 5-door estate available as well.

Oxford Diecast Ford Zephyr Purbeck Grey – model number 76ZEP010 – is a die‑cast replica of a 1966 Ford Zephyr 6 Mk III four‑door saloon. The vehicle is presented in a mid‑grey (Purbeck Grey) body colour with a brown‑red interior, and is identified with the registration FVJ 259D.
The model represents the period when the Zephyr 6 was painted British Rail Blue (pre‑TOPS) and reflects the final year of production at Ford’s Dagenham plant, which ran from 1962 to 1966. It features the full‑width radiator grille with chrome headlights, silver‑coloured trim and the distinctive Zephyr wheel hubs.
Whilst the original Zephyr 6 was only built as a four‑door saloon, external conversions produced a five‑door estate version; however, this die‑cast model depicts the standard saloon configuration.
