The pick-up version of the iconic VW van was introduced in 1959 and served as a small commercial vehicle capable of transporting goods, people, or both without any problem. The vehicle was versatile inasmuch as one could carry all sorts in an enclosed back, or on an open platform or under a tarpaulin.
The dark blue and white livery on our version is striking in a simple way, with detail picked out in black and silver. Registered GAE 441K, it dates from the last days of production in 1971.
