Manufacturer description

Boniface Recovery (now Boniface Engineering), a UK-based manufacturer of vehicle recovery equipment, was founded in 1982 by Michael Boniface. The company specializes in producing slide beds, tow trucks and recovery cranes. In 1996, Boniface was acquired by Miller Industries, the world's largest manufacturer of towing and recovery equipment, which integrated Boniface's innovative product lines into its global operations. Volvo trucks serve as a popular chassis for Boniface recovery equipment, with the two brands collaborating on custom-built recovery vehicles for various commercial uses.

You’ve been treated to Crouch Recovery vehicles in the Oxford series before and on this latest release, registered DC05 TOW,  their highly visible orange and yellow livery features on another favourite 1:76 scale Oxford truck - the Volvo Boniface. Decorated primarily in orange on a black chassis, the lifting gear is painted yellow and there is much black masking to the mudguards, sun visor, air intakes, cable reels and wing mirrors.  Crouch Recovery graphics feature on the sides in black with white dropped shadow, repeated across the front as well as the name appearing vertically on the rear tailgate. Note the additional components on this release too – a lightbar on the winch moulded in tinted orange; four spotlights fitted to the lower front grille;  six spotlights fitted above the front windscreen; and two air horns fitted to the roof.

This is a splendid addition to the growing fleet of Crouch Recovery models which you may have already collected in the Oxford series.
