The second-generation Mercedes Sprinter was produced from 2006 to 2018. It was a major redesign of the original Sprinter, with a new chassis, body, and engines. It was also available in a wider range of body styles and configurations than the original, making it even more versatile.

After launch it quickly became one of the most popular large vans on the market. It was praised for its fuel efficiency, reliability, and safety. The Sprinter was also available with a variety of advanced features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring.

In 2014, the Sprinter received a mid-cycle refresh with a new front grille, headlights, and taillights. It also gained new safety features such as crosswind stabilization and collision avoidance assist.
