After the cream launch model and then a red version, our latest release appears in probably the most recognised Renault 4 colour scheme - mid blue, dating from 1967 and registered PXD 924F.
An iconic car from the 1960s era, the Renault 4 was very versatile, being produced in a variety of formats. With a top speed of 65 mph, you could choose from either a 3-speed or 4-speed gearbox. It was popular not only as a small family car with four doors but also as a van, an estate and a pick-up.
Against the exterior body colour of our model, the pale grey interior and seating is an effective contrast, as is the silver trim to the exterior headlights, wheel hubs, door handles and bumpers.
In real life, the indomitable Renault 4 went on in production right into the 1990s and still running around today! Quite a car.

Oxford Diecast Blue Renault 4 is a model kit produced under the part number 76RN003. The vehicle is presented in the British Rail Blue livery used before the introduction of the TOPS system, reflecting the colour scheme introduced in 1967 and the registration PXD 924F.
The original Renault 4 was a versatile 1960s automobile available as a four‑door saloon, estate, van and pick‑up, and it could be fitted with either a three‑speed or four‑speed manual gearbox. Its top speed was approximately 65 mph.
The die‑cast model reproduces the mid‑blue exterior finish, with pale grey interior upholstery and seating. Silver detailing is applied to the headlights, wheel hubs, door handles and bumpers to match the real‑world trim.
Production of the Renault 4 continued into the 1990s, and examples of the car remain on the road today. This model aims to capture that enduring legacy.
