Manufacturer description

The Oxford Diecast Land Rover Series II Tow Truck in Bronze Green (1:76 Scale) shows a part of history when it comes to old tow trucks. This model looks great with other Land Rovers or rescue vehicles.

The Series II Land Rover was introduced in 1958 and was manufactured until 1961, when it was replaced by the IIA. Whereas the Series I had flat sides, the Series II can immediately be identified with the rounded side panels, which allowed for the wider track of the vehicle. Coming in Short and Long Wheelbases with numerous body combinations including fixed roofs, canvas roofs, open tops, station wagons etc. This open-backed Land Rover was used as a towing truck, complete with a bright yellow pristine towing winch facing towards the back of the flatbed section. With a tow bar to the front bumper, which is always useful if you need to pull a vehicle out of a country ditch! Painted in deep bronze green with the same coloured wheel inserts and a dark green interior, the model is registered 4772 DD.

Our model comes on a plinth, with a clear case lid and Oxfrod Diecast warp.
