Oxford Diecast Northern Ireland TK Fire Engine – 1:76 Scale

Manufacturer part number 76FIRE004. The model depicts a Bedford TK fire engine in the livery of the Northern Ireland Fire Authority, rendered in British Rail Blue (pre‑TOPS) colours.

The Bedford TK was introduced on 01/01/1959 as a replacement for the Bedford S type and was produced with a variety of bodywork; this version uses a Carmichael body. The Northern Ireland Fire Authority was established on 01/01/1950 following the amalgamation of the Ballymena, Londonderry and Portadown fire authorities, which had been created on 01/01/1947 after the N.F.S. (N.I.) was disbanded. The first commander was George Murphy, formerly the Fire Service Inspector for the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The die‑cast model is presented at a 1:76 scale, suitable for collectors of historic British emergency service vehicles.
