Manufacturer description

The Ford Consul, originally launched in 1951 was to be superseded by various other models over the following 20 years but made a brief re-appearance in the early 1970s. It was to last until 1975 when it was succeeded by the Ford Cortina. Our model, a replica of a 'preserved' vehicle, comes in a two-tone colour scheme of bright red with black roof and its registered UNN 484L from 1971-72. A mass of gleaming silver trim and its light clusters in red and orange and silver all add further realism to round off this superb little replica car of the period.

Oxford Diecast Sebring Red Ford Consul – 1:76 scale model. Manufacturer part number 76FC003. The model represents the British Rail Blue (TOPS) period.

The original Ford Consul was launched in 1951 and remained in production for about twenty years before being superseded by later models. It re‑appeared briefly in the early 1970s and continued until 1975, when it was replaced by the Ford Cortina.

The die‑cast replica depicts a preserved vehicle in a two‑tone scheme of bright red bodywork with a black roof. It bears the registration UNN 484L, dated 1971‑72. Silver trim is applied extensively, and the light clusters are rendered in red, orange and silver, adding to the overall realism of the miniature.
