Manufacturer description

This Oxford Diecast Jag E Type Ser 1 Coupe in White is instantly likeable. If you are a vintage car lover or you are looking to expand your diecast collection, check this model vehicle out. Jaguar introduced the E-Type Series 1 in March 1961. Using the triple SU carburetted 3.8 litre 6-cylinder XK6 engine from Jaguar's XK150S, it had flat floors and external bonnet latches when it was first released. These cars are rare and more valuable because of the features. After that, the floors were dished to provide more leg room and the twin hood latches moved to inside the car. The 3.8 litre engine was increased to 4.2 litres late in 1964. All E-Types featured independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front ends and four wheel disc brakes—power assisted from 1964 onward. Jaguar was one of the first auto manufacturers to equip cars with disc brakes as standard equipment. Order your Oxford Diecast Jag E Type Ser 1 Coupe in White today!

Oxford Diecast Jaguar E‑Type Series 1 Coupe in white, model number 76ETYP004, is produced to a 1:76 scale. The diecast vehicle represents a British‑built sports car from the pre‑TOPS era and is supplied in a white finish.

The real Jaguar E‑Type Series 1 was launched on 1 March 1961, fitted with a triple SU‑carburettored 3.8 litre six‑cylinder XK6 engine derived from the XK150S. Early examples had a flat floor and external bonnet latches; later models received a dished floor for additional legroom and the latch mechanism was moved inside the cabin. In late 1964 the engine capacity was increased to 4.2 litres. All Series 1 cars featured independent coil‑spring rear suspension, torsion‑bar front ends and four‑wheel disc brakes, which became power‑assisted from 1964.

The model is aimed at collectors of vintage automobiles and diecast enthusiasts. It accurately reproduces the original car’s proportions and key details, making it a suitable addition to a period‑accurate collection.
