Oxford’s Showtime series has featured the great names in the business and Paulo’s Circus is one that has been entertaining the crowds since the beginning of the 20th Century. Originally from England with roots dating back to 1816, the business saw many up and downs along the way but 200 years on, descendants of the original Paulo family are still involved, notably Kenny Darnell, who is one of the principals of the current Paulo’s Circus Company. Their website details all the UK venues with exhilarating video footage of the numerous fun-filled and daring attractions.
Their ERC EC Box Trailer is immortalised in this colourful 1:76 scale model which is registered KJD 260W. The cab and chassis are decorated in yellow and purple, covered with white stars and promoting Paulo’s Circus on the doors and across the front. The ERF badge sits proudly on the radiator, reminding us of the truck’s founder Edwin Richard Foden, whose company was established in 1933 and – like the Circus – saw many ups and downs along the way. The EC range was introduced in 1993 which was ERF’s diamond jubilee year and it was the last all new product to be launched by ERF as an independent family business.
The box trailer behind the cab is full of colourful excitement decorated brightly in shades of red, orange and yellow with black silhouettes of the many acts performed under the Big Top. It deserves a ringside seat in your collection too!

Oxford Diecast Paulos Circus ERF EC Box Trailer is a 1:76 scale model (registered KJD 260W) produced by Oxford’s Showtime series. The model carries the manufacturer part number 76EC005 and depicts a vehicle painted in the British Rail Blue TOPS livery.
The cab and chassis are finished in yellow and purple with white stars and carry the Paulo’s Circus branding on the doors and front. An ERF badge is displayed on the radiator, indicating the truck’s origin with the company founded by Edwin Richard Foden in 1933.
The attached box trailer is painted in bright red, orange and yellow and features black silhouettes representing circus acts. The trailer design reflects the EC range introduced by ERF in 1993, the year of the company’s diamond jubilee and its final product launch as an independent family business.
Paulo’s Circus, originally established in England in 1816, continues under the direction of descendants such as Kenny Darnell. The model offers a colourful representation of the circus’s historic vehicle and is intended for collectors.
