Manufacturer description

Decorated in the blue/green scheme with two tone grey flashes of additional colour. Additional trim to the exterior is finished predominantly in black including roof bars with silver to door handles, rear wheel cover and exhaust. Our vehicle is registered G524 WAC from 1989, the first year it rolled off the Solihull plant production line. Again echoing the real thing with a generic interior colour scheme, the interior is in Sonar Blue and Sonar Grey.

Generally affordable to the everyday family motorist, the Discovery 1 still retained some of the desirable elements of the Range Rover including the same chassis, suspension and off road facility with 4 wheel drive system. There were some modifications such as smaller engine size and initially a three door option. It also gave a choice of petrol or diesel engine and a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual gearbox.

Oxford Diecast Model of the Land Rover Discovery 1 Marseilles, manufactured by Oxford at 1:76 scale. The model is supplied with the manufacturer part number 76DS1003 and represents the initial privatisation period of the vehicle.

The miniature is finished in the blue/green scheme with two‑tone grey flashes. Exterior trim is predominantly black, with roof bars, door handles, rear wheel cover and exhaust in silver. The vehicle bears the registration G524 WAC from 1989, the first year the model left the Solihull production line. The interior uses a generic colour scheme of Sonar Blue and Sonar Grey.

The Discovery 1 model reflects the real vehicle’s blend of family practicality and off‑road capability, sharing chassis and suspension with the Range Rover and featuring a four‑wheel‑drive system. It originally offered a smaller engine, a three‑door option, a choice of petrol or diesel power units and either a 4‑speed automatic or a 5‑speed manual gearbox.
