Manufacturer description

The Land Rover Defender County Station Wagon, introduced in the early 1980s is a versatile, rugged, and spacious version of the classic Defender, known for its boxy shape, strong off-road capabilities, and aluminium body construction. The "County" trim typically signifies a more passenger-oriented specification with features like increased seating and better interior finishes, while the "Station Wagon" body style provides a longer wheelbase (110) or shorter (90) with a station wagon back for ample cargo and passenger room.

This time, Oxford has modelled the long wheelbase version in bright red with white roof and graduated diagonal flashes along the sides denoting the Land Rover’s County image. Registered F143 SUW in 1988, note the Land Rover Defender V8 markings on the back on each side of the spare wheel.  The Land Rover name also features on the edge of the bonnet above the easily recognisable Land Rover radiator grille and external trim is finished in black and silver.  The interior is dark grey with lighter grey seating.  All ready to roll on a new adventure!

Oxford Diecast's Land Rover Defender LWB St. Wagon, model number 76DEF018, is a 1:76 scale die‑cast replica. The vehicle is finished in a Masai Red paint scheme and replicates the long‑wheel‑base version of the Defender used as a staff wagon.

The model is intended to represent the period of the Initial Privatisation, reflecting the appearance of the Defender during that era. Details include accurate wheel and tyre proportions, a fully detailed body shell, and a realistic cabin layout appropriate to a staff wagon.

The die‑cast piece is produced for collectors of British automotive models and is supplied in Oxford Diecast's standard packaging, with a printed reference to the period depicted.
