The DAF 2800 utilises the wider cab style which DAF had introduced in the 1970s, the design of which featured the manufacturer's characteristic three-wiper windscreen, faithfully reproduced on our 1:76 scale model.
Registered B462 HAO in 1984, the replica is based on a truck used by Robson's Distribution Services and comes in their maroon and cream colour scheme and features a very high level of decorative detail. Looking at the cab first, the roof and front are cream with maroon Robson's of Carlisle lettering above the cab window and Border Cumbrian above the black and silver radiator grille. Note the slightly different front grille on this model. The lower sides and air intake are painted maroon. The maroon trailer with cream central band carries the gold and black lettering along the sides, while the front of the trailer is completely maroon with the Robson's name printed in gold and black. The cream trailer rear has a detailed company logo featuring a map of the UK surrounded by Robson's Distribution Services artwork. Another interesting element on the model is the use of an alternative shaped front roof box.

Oxford Diecast DAF 2800 40‑ft Curtainside – Robsons (1:76 scale) is a die‑cast model supplied under part number 76D28001. The model represents the British Rail Blue (TOPS) period.
The model reproduces the DAF 2800 with the wider cab introduced by DAF in the 1970s, including the distinctive three‑wiper windscreen. It is based on a vehicle registered B462 HAO in 1984 that operated for Robson’s Distribution Services, and it is presented in the company’s maroon and cream livery with a high level of decorative detail.
Cab details are cream‑coloured on the roof and front, with maroon “Robson’s of Carlisle” lettering above the windscreen and “Border Cumbrian” above the black and silver radiator grille. The front grille differs slightly from the original, and the lower sides and air‑intake are painted maroon.
The 40‑ft curtainside trailer is maroon with a central cream band, bearing gold and black lettering along the sides. The front of the trailer is entirely maroon with the Robson’s name printed in gold and black. The rear of the cream‑coloured trailer carries a detailed company logo that features a map of the United Kingdom surrounded by Robson’s Distribution Services artwork. An alternative‑shaped front roof box is also included on the model.
