Manufacturer description

The Commer Commando was designed to accommodate up to 20 passengers and their maximum baggage allowance and was a favourite vehicle for many airlines with its 1½ deck observation coach. Shown here as used by the Australian National Airways with its two-tone steel blue and silver grey bodywork on a black chassis. Registered LS-271, it features the insignia of the airline on the upper bodywork and across the rear, detailing the globe with red/white Australian National Airways graphics, whilst the sides of the lower body feature the gold printed wings with the detailed outline of Australia in the centre. The interior has bright blue panelling with tan seating, while the outside is finished with lots of chrome and silver masking.

The Commer Commando was built to carry up to 20 passengers together with their maximum baggage allowance and was a favourite vehicle for many airlines because of its one‑and‑a‑half deck observation coach.

The model depicts an Australian National Airways vehicle with the registration LS‑271. The bodywork is finished in a two‑tone steel‑blue and silver‑grey scheme on a black chassis. The airline's insignia appears on the upper bodywork and across the rear, showing a globe with red and white Australian National Airways graphics, while the lower sides display gold‑printed wings with an outlined map of Australia in the centre.

The interior is shown with bright blue paneling and tan seating. The exterior features extensive chrome and silver masking details.
