The personable British chef and entrepreneur Jamie Oliver features on this Citroen H catering vanpromoting his undoubtedly delicious selection of 'On the hoof' snacks from his pitch at Gatwick Airport! The jazzy red and white eye-catching livery is promoting refreshments including coffee, speciality teas and snacks on a huge roof billboard, whilst the sides are drawing in the punters for his restaurant food, bakery and bar. We love the red and white wheels too! It's left hand drive configuration has a French number plate 691 HW 89.
The Citroen H was produced by Citroen between 1947 and 1981, during which time it did not change very much. There were only three body styles available on this panel van and most of the component parts were interchangeable with later Citroen vehicles such as the iconic 2CV.
