Manufacturer description

In real life the Bentley T2 was launched at the Paris Motor Show in October 1965 as a Bentley-badged version of the totally redesigned chassis-less Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Although classed as a full-size luxury car, it appealed to more conservative owners for whom it appeared a little more understated and less ostentatious than the Rolls-Royce. It remained in production until 1980 and came as a 4-door saloon, 2-door saloon and 2-door convertible. There is nothing conservative about the bright Caribbean blue colour scheme, however, complete with ivory interior and contrasting black dashboard and steering wheel. And, it may be no surprise to hear that the car, registered TOY 102W, was once owned by motor enthusiast and BB2 Top Gear presenter, James May. The remaining exterior trim is silver with matt black bumpers. The Bentley winged 'B' badge is also faithfully reproduced with the addition of the Bentley T2 marque on the boot.
