Manufacturer description

St John Ambulance, branded as St John in some territories, is a common name used by a number of affiliated organisations in different countries dedicated to the teaching and practice of medical first aid and the provision of ambulance services, all of which derive their origins from the St John Ambulance Association founded in 1877 in the UK, You see them at the majority of events where their volunteers, in their smart uniform, are at the ready to administer medical help to the general public. In real life, the Bedford J1 was built in large numbers and saw service with many authorities from the early 1950s to well into the 1970s. The bodywork was named after its designer Herbert Lomas and the vehicles proved very efficient. This replica comes in sparkling white with black coachwork down to the individual St John logo, as used in this era.
