Oxford Diecast Dublin Fire Brigade Bedford J1 Lomas Ambulance – 1:76 scale model

Manufacturer part number: 76BED003. The model represents a Bedford J1 ambulance in the colour scheme used by the Dublin Fire Brigade, a livery based on the British Rail “Blue” palette used before the TOPS system.

The Bedford J1 was produced in large numbers and operated with numerous authorities from the early 1950s until the late 1970s. Designed by Herbert Lomas, the vehicle was noted for its efficiency and reliability, and it was a common sight on UK roads throughout the 1950s and 1960s. This die‑cast version reproduces the ambulance as it would have appeared in Dublin service during that period.
