Manufacturer description
This typical Austin ambulance of the period was manufactured in 1938 and had an unladen weight of 1 ton 12 cwt. It was converted by Thomas Startin Jnr, a firm still in business today and was used specifically as a Rolls-Royce works ambulance at Crewe, where it remained until 1970.
