As classic British sports cars go, this is an absolute gem and unsurprisingly much-loved in its time. The Austin Healey 3000 was classed as one of the well-known ‘big’ Healeys which the company introduced between 1959 and 1967. Our 1:76 scale model is registered HYK 403C from 1965.
In a striking black and rich cherry red two-tone colour scheme with contrasting silver external trim including bumpers, windows and radiator surround, exhaust, door handles, wheels and headlights. The folded down tonneau cover is moulded in black. The interior flooring and seats are moulded in dark red while the detailed dashboard features a black top and tan front. The Austin Healey red and silver badge sits proudly on the front edge of the bonnet with the Austin Healey 3000 ‘signature’ printed diagonally across the boot.
The summer sunshine is just the ticket for a spin in this wonderfully nostalgic classic. We could all do with a bit of a breeze right now.
