The A40 Mk. II was known popularly as the Austin A40 Farina which denoted it from previous Austin models. Classed as a small family car, it was made by Austin (BMC) Innocenti between 1958 and 1967 and came as a 2-door saloon, 2-door hatchback or 3-door van. It was superseded by the Austin 1100.
